Putting It All Together – by Joy “the Encourager” Netter

Joy "the Encourager" Netter
Have you ever tasted flour all by itself? It’s not, in any sense of the word, ‘good.’ Have you ever eaten a spoonful of baking soda, swallowed a raw egg, or drank vanilla extract all by itself? Again, not appetizing at all; it is in no wise, palatable. The fact is even if we would blend any combination of the above-listed items to nibble, we would probably still find it to be downright disgusting, even yucky.  But what would happen if we blended all those with a few more ingredients like sugar and butter, then poured it in a pan, placed it in the oven to bake, then removed it? Ideally, the result might be something such as a delicious cake—something we find satisfaction in and gladness. However, there are some things required before we can have that delicious dessert—that sort of outcome.
First, we DECIDE that a delicious cake is something we want to have and enjoy (having your cake and eating it, too : -D ). Next we might want to have a RECIPE to make the cake. Then we FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS from the recipe—the process. Once the cake gets removed from the oven, we give it time to cool before we have a slice of our tasty achievement. Overall, doing these things would assure us of a good outcome as related to a cake.

In the process of living, we set out to do a particular thing or accomplish a certain goal—to bake the cake of life. Well, there are many different ways to attain a certain outcome. One of the best ways, I think, is to get some direction or instruction (a recipe) as it helps to make the path a little easier to follow or the learning easier—just doing or experiencing one of the steps, when there are several, will make for something displeasing, like eating the raw egg. But when we do all the steps (mix all the ingredients), accept the process (the fire) and rest in it (the cake cooling), then we can be certain to have good success.

From time to time we will encounter experiences one after another, like individual ingredients that appear or seem to be bad, unpleasant, and sometimes disgusting. Sometimes all the individual things occurring in our life seem awful; sometimes they are. It seems like we’re in the fire. But when we get through the fire and chill, like the cake having been removed from the oven, we have at the end something palatable, pleasant, enjoyable, and praiseworthy.

I am persuaded that we are predestined to do a certain thing or things, and we can REST in the blessed assurance of God’s promises. We decide to take on what has been predestined (that stirring in the soul that won’t rest), then we follow directions (what the Good Book teaches), we endure the process, and we relax (prayer). Sometimes I think about the story of Jôb in the Holy Bible. He experienced and endured a myriad of unbelievable, painful, depressing single events in his life one after another—everything from the death of his children, his cattle, loss of all his property, his deadly health condition, to a wife insisting that he curse God that he might live. It looked awful—it was awful, devastating, and traumatic. But just like the cake process, his life was made sweeter because he was baked in the oven of life.

He came through the fire of process as pure gold. When life happens, and it will, rest in what we know: We know that ALL things work together for the good of them that love the lord, who are called according to His purpose. REST ASSURED that there is divine purpose in the pain; there’s purpose in the process. When we stand back to examine life events, and we put it all together, we find that the most important thing in the pain and process is God’s Providence —that extraordinary manifestation; we come to realize that He’s doing what’s impossible for man.
Here’s to mixing the ingredients of life ~ Joy

Encouragement for Women In Today's Times

 ~By Johnnie Owens~

Johnnie Owens and Family
A Virtuous Woman Her Price Is Far Above Rubies

Proverbs 31:10-31 (King James Version)

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

14She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."

"Your walk with God start by having faith....!"

Devotional for Today Precious Pearls Ministry by Dana Rankin

He Has Overcome the World

“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The will of God will never take you where the grace of God cannot keep you. His power is ever-present in your life as His child.

If I could have been there in the days of His flesh, I would have wanted to see Him walk across the sea and calm the waves. I can just see that kingly form with the wind in His hair, putting His foot steps on the sea, His garments billowing back. Smiling at the storm.

When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, what was their biggest problem? The water. Jesus in essence was saying, “What looks like it’s going to be over your head, is already under My feet.”

What are some problems that are drowning you in fear, in discouragement, in sadness today? Give them to Jesus. Remember: what is over your head is under His feet.

Enjoying My Everyday Blessing!

As many of you know are will find out I truly enjoy my grannies! (Amaya) I  help name her when she was only 2pounds (Marlee and Sumarlee Brewer the twins)❤  I'm a divorce mother of four children. My ex left our family when my oldest son was five and the youngest son was two. So I know a lot about single parenting....those was some really hard, fun, and strong years for me, without my really strong consistence support system in place with my other single parents friends  and their children in our lives, throughout the years "we really would not had made it" I had to really prove over and over again what I was really made of in order for us to truly make it!

I made the hard decision to raise them on my own without bringing someone in to really complicate things...I learn from my kid's later one day when we were having a conversation...they stated "We never miss having a dad in our home...you provided for us, took us on trips, brought us a home and stayed on our backs about our education....we really thought this is how everyone live in a single parent home." I receive many surprises and compliments pertaining to rearing of my children.  People were blown away at how respectful they were...and how I kept them so clean and neat. It was by the grace of God and his love for us that helped up in those lean years.

I'm truly blessed to see the fruit of my labor through the eyes of my grandchildren, I really never saw them in my future, I was too busy reaping the rewards of putting my time into what my kids need were and I tried very hard  to meet them. Do we have everything we desire?  I have my health and strength and the desire to continue learning as I focus on the future. I'm off to babysit my grannies today and I'm struck by the everyday blessing that I truly have and thats enough for me!❤

Word's of Inspiration and Prayer for Today

Word's of Wisdom for Your Soul
By Diane Haney
The Lord constantly reminds and admonishes us about this. He always says "Focus on Me, keep your focus on Me." Because it's easy to get lost in the mire of the enemy and what they are doing instead of what Yah can do, is doing, and will do to defeat them.
He keeps me in check.

He keeps me in balance. There has to be balance. Especially when you are called into these areas to sound the alarms. For some their job is to sound the alarms about our enemies and for others it is to learn and be aware of what is around them. But no one is to allow themselves to be overtaken by evil or to become so wrapped up in these evil beings and entities that they become more like them than the Most High!

BE GLORIFIED, OH LORD!
