WISDOM AND WISE WORDS

Someone once said you can be wise or otherwise. The entire Book of Proverbs teaches us how to live wisely. Wisdom seeks to find the good in others. However the way some look for fault, you would think there was a reward for finding it. Wisdom possesses strong convictions and expresses them with mercy and graciousness. I have learned the hard way it is much wiser not to give advice unless asked. And again, some people may not always take your advice.

Wisdom speaks carefully and gently. In Colossians 4:6 it says to let your speech always be seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. I have learned that if I am going to seek advice, I should seek it from someone that has built the same type of relationships that I want to build. The Bible is the main source of truth and all wisdom. We often seek out the wrong source and get misinformation and follow it to our unhappiness. We should listen long to the Word of God, learning from the all knowing God. Let us consult the Word of God more than we consult Google. Let us Bible it instead of Google ing it.

Heavenly Father, today we pray that we will always listen to the right source and go to the right source for answers. Let us live and not perish because of our lack of knowledge. Help us to seek Proverbs daily to live each day as we ought. In Jesus Name we pray Amen.

In His Grip,
Minister Dana
